I like to refer to myself as a writer. Really, I’m a scribbler. I have hundreds of notebooks and scraps of paper covered in notes – ideas for stories, bits and pieces of dialogue I’ll fit into a play one day, article outlines I want to pitch to magazines, quotes I particularly enjoyed, even half-copied recipes. I am always finding excuses as to why I have yet to type them up. As a personal project, I have vowed to right this wrong. To you dear reader, I offer my notes… for a song.*
